Atwater Village Boutiques: Indie Finds and Elevated Goods

1. Treehaus LA

A boutique store in Atwater Village, Los Angeles, Treehaus.
Treehaus is amazing, a great gift store with high-quality LA-made clothing.

This locally owned boutique is a love letter to California creativity. Expect handmade jewelry, whimsical prints, apothecary items, and quirky home goods you didn’t know you needed. If you’re gifting someone (or yourself), Treehaus is a can’t-miss. They have great women’s one-of-a-kind clothing and men’s one-of-a-kind shirts. You’ll want to leave with a lot of the products here. Another amazing Atwater Village boutique for unique gifts.

2. Yolk

A sign that reads, "Yolk."
We used to have to go to Silver Lake to shop at Yolk, but now Yolk resides in Atwater 😁. In general, people (not all) who live in Silver Lake think they’re cooler than they actually are.

Colorful, Scandinavian-inspired design meets West Coast cool at Yolk. I’ve bought the best hostess and baby shower gifts from friends here. The store is packed with modern ceramics, playful textiles, toys, and paper goods. It’s perfect for design lovers or anyone looking to brighten up their home or office with something unique.

3. deKor

A home goods store in Atwater Village, Los Angeles.
I have trouble leaving this store. I LOVE textiles.

This home and lifestyle store feels more like an art gallery. Think Moroccan rugs, teak furniture, vintage lighting, and minimalistic kitchenware. deKor is ideal if you’re looking to upgrade your space with globally sourced, design-forward pieces. You’ll want to live here.

4. The Social Type

notebooks and bags on a shelf.
As someone who has kept a notebook her whole life, The Social Type is my kind of store.

As a serious nerd with a love for organization, this type of store is my kink. Stationery lovers, rejoice. The Social Type carries chic greeting cards, glittery pens, custom notepads, and bar cart-worthy gifts. It’s the kind of place where every item feels like a little party.

5. Goodies LA

Goodies LA has great, inexpensive goods. My daughter and I bought matching bracelets for $10. She insisted on paying. She is so sweet to me.

Everything in this cult-favorite shop is under $25, but you’d never guess it by the aesthetic. My daughter and I bought matching bead bracelets the last time we went to Goodies LA. From glassware and pantry items to storage bins and ceramics, Goodies proves that budget-friendly can still be beautiful.

Atwater Village Vintage Store Shopping: Treasure Hunt in Style

Full disclosure: I do not like vintage stores, but younger generations do, and they are smart for recycling. I’m thrilled it’s trendy to reuse, recycle, and repurpose.

Here are some great stores, where I even found a purse and a T-shirt I couldn’t live without.

1. The Lucky Pig Vintage

Clothing racks in a store in Atwater Village.
The Lucky Pig is a great vintage store.

A retro dream, The Lucky Pig is known for its rotating racks of ‘60s and ‘70s finds, cowboy boots, denim, and statement coats. The styling is on point, and the price point is fair—ideal for both serious vintage collectors and curious browsers. I’m not one to buy second-hand clothing, but I saw a few things at The Lucky Pig that I wanted to add to my already too-full wardrobe.

2. Dresscue Co.

Amazing finds at Dresscue.

This sustainable fashion spot specializes in secondhand designer and high-quality vintage pieces that have been lovingly “rescued.” It’s where fashionistas go for affordable Max Mara blazers, silk tops, and one-of-a-kind accessories. They have great stuff here, I couldn’t get my daughter to leave the shop, so many good finds.

3. Out of the Closet – Atwater Thrift Store

My daughter and my dogs.

More than just a thrift store, Out of the Closet supports HIV/AIDS healthcare and prevention. Expect racks of donated fashion—from basics to the occasional gem—plus a clean, welcoming environment and friendly staff.

4. Vintage Mall on Glendale

This unmarked treasure near Glendale Blvd is a vintage lover’s paradise. With multiple sellers under one roof, the selection ranges from vinyl to vintage toys, antique dishware, funky jewelry, and well-loved Levi’s. Give yourself time—this place is a maze in the best way.

A story about community: When I lived across the street from Proof Bakery in Atwater Village, the neighborhood felt like a quiet little pocket of L.A.—the kind of place where you didn’t think twice about leaving your front door unlocked. One afternoon, we headed out for a quick run to Chipotle, and my then-five-year-old accidentally left the door slightly ajar. I didn’t realize it at the time. By the time we got back, one of our dogs was sitting dutifully at the front step like a little soldier. The other two? Gone. Panic set in instantly. These weren’t just pets—they were my babies. Within minutes, the whole neighborhood was mobilized: shop owners, my boyfriend, my ex-husband, even the barista from across the street, and my neighbors (we all knew each other). Everyone was searching. We found Garbo first—behind the (now-gone) pet store, happily raiding the trash in the alley like it was a buffet (his stomach was bloated and extended for a week). But my other dog, Ruby, had vanished. Turns out, two men had found her behind El Buen Gusto in the parking lot and decided to keep her. The nerve. Fortunately, when they took her to the vet, she scanned her chip and called me immediately. That day, the entire Atwater nook rallied like family. And thanks to them, both of my pups came home.

In addition to boutiques and vintage shops, Atwater is home to a handful of standout specialty shops worth popping into:

  • Potted – A gorgeous garden shop with stylish planters and plants
  • McCall’s Meat & Fish Co. — High-end grocery. Want to feel like you’re in NYC? Step into McCall’s, it’s very East Coast.

Check out McCall’s Meat & Fish Co., it’s got some great over-priced food that will break the bank.
